AISI E52100 is high carbon chromium steel that offers very high hardness and excellent resistance to wear.COMBALLS accurately monitors the hardening and tempering processes to insure a uniform structure and hardness throughout the ball.

APPLICATIONS OF STEEL CHROME BALLS: Ball burnishing media, forged grinding balls, milling media, in ball bearings, bicycles, automobiles sub assemblies, in drawer slides, castors, as agitators in paint spray cans, weights.
Chrome steel balls find use in many applications - for steel ball bearing , forged grinding media, ball mill media, agitator ball, steel burnishing media, weights, casters, roller skates, drawer slides Chrome steel is high-carbon-high-chromium-steel; actually an alloy steel which owes its enhanced properties to the presence of larger proportions of special alloying elements such as chromium, manganese and silicon than are ordinarily present in carbon steel.

For better performance and life in most of the above applications chrome steel balls instead of ordinary carbon steel ball (round / spherical) are preferred. These steel balls have better corrosion resistance, hardenability and toughness. These can be thorough hardened (upto the core) to 58-63 HRc instead of just case hardened or carburized.
